Bollywood's original desi girl Priyanka Chopra has been signed on to perform at the opening night of Indian Premiere League (IPL) that will commence its latest season in Chennai on March 3. 

Priyanka who has been a star performer at mega events is known to be a perfect enthraller whose moves leave the audience in her awe. Priyanka confessed that she always enjoys performing live and the fact that this is her first performance for any sporting event expressed that she is doubly excited for this performance. She refused to reveal the plans of her performance as she says that the audience is certainly in for a surprise.

PC stated that she is aware of the fact that IPL exemplifies the energetic format of the loved game, she would make sure that she lives up to the spirit of the game.

Other stars who are expected to perform at the opening ceremony are Shah Rukh Khan and Katy Perry.
