It seems like Bollywood's dusky beauty Priyanka Chopra is the first choice of filmmakers when it comes to performance-oriented roles. 

Be it her role as an autistic girl in 'Barfi' or her upcoming role in the biopic of Indian Olympic Medal Winning Boxer 'Mary Kom'; PC has performed at par expectations every time. 

And this is the prime reason why she has yet again been chosen for another biopic. This time, the film is about the highs and lows of renowned yesteryear actress Parveen Babi.  

Bengali filmmaker Agnidev Chatterjee is interested in Parveen's professional life as he feels that due to her controversial personal life, her achievements as an actor never got the due attention. Hence, he wants to make a film which talks about her career and not her personal life. 

And it is for the same reason that he intends to approach Priyanka, who he feels is apt to play the role. Not only an actor is she capable to pull off the role, but the filmmaker also feels that her stardom is on the lines of Parveen's career.  

He further adds that even if she is too busy to sign the film this year, he is willing to wait until she gets free and in the meanwhile will make the Bengali version of the same film with a new actress in lead.
