The past weekend witnessed two audio launches in Kollywood, as the music of 'Puli Vesham' and 'Mallu Kattu' was released amidst fanfare at separate functions in Chennai. 'Puli Vesham' is directed by P Vasu with RK, Karthik and Sadha forming part of the cast. The music is by Srikanth Deva.

In his address, Vasu said, "Ilayaraaja is my favourite. He is the raja of 'Raagam'. I enjoyed working with him for so many films. In 'Puli Vesham', 'Srikanth Deva's works reminded me of Ilayaraaja. He is sure to go places'.

Coming to the audio launch of 'Mallu Kattu', S J Suryah, Vaali, actor Vimal, directors Suseenthiran, Prabhu Solomon and producer R B Choudhary were among those who took part in the function.

The movie stars Varun, actor Dhanush's cousin in the lead role and Honey Rose as heroine. Directed by Muruganandham, it has music by Taj Noor, a former associate of A R Rahman.
