30th December 2011

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh recently kick-started the celebrations for the 125th birth anniversary of eminent mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The fever has now caught the film industry too.

As per rumours film-makers are keen to make a film on of the greatest mathematicians.  The film would be multi-lingual and would be made in English, Telugu and Tamil. The movie will have Madhavan playing the role of Srinivasa Ramanujam.

Titled 'The Man Who Knew Infinity', the movie which is expected to hit the floors soon is based on the book of the same name, authored by Robert Kanigel. The film will be directed by Matt Brown and produced by Edward Pressman.

'Madhavan is so thrilled about playing Srinivasa Ramanujan. Recently, he was in Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu, the native place of the maths genius, to do some research. Since Ramanujan was overweight, Madhavan has been asked to put on weight", say sources.
