Ajay Devgn has blasted the internet with his heroic entry from his upcoming flick 'Raid' where he plays an honest Income Tax officer. Moments after the official poster release, the makers also unveiled the film's official trailer. The trailer is 2mins 46 seconds long and demonstrates some true events happened in the backdrop of Lucknow during 1981.
It introduces Ajay Devgn as a fearless Income Tax officer talking about why the people of our country are poor, They are poor because the corrupt rich have all their wealth says the hero. He kick-starts in style wearing aviator raiding a well-known man's haveli saying that there is a warrant for a raid. To which the guard replies can you see inside. Ajay replies in his typical attitude ''Can you see outside?" There stands the entire Income Tax team along with officers and accountants prepped up for a raid.
We just love Ajay Devgn's idealistic take on corruption. The villain of the film is Saurabh Shukla who challenges Ajay he won't get anything from here while Ajay has a strict take on him. The trailer slightly focuses on one of the elements of woman empowerment when Ajay says to Ileana D'Cruz, that more than the Indian Officers, Indian wives need to be strong.
'Raid' is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta who has previously helmed critically acclaimed films like 'Aamir' and 'No One Killed Jessica'. The social drama also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla in major roles. Raid is slated to release on March 16.
