(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Showers are set to threaten the highly-anticipated balcony kiss at todays royal wedding.
Britains Prince William will wed Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London today, with the ceremony set to begin at 11am. William and his new bride are expected to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at 1.25pm, where it is through they will share a kiss.
Although temperatures could reach 20 degrees Celsius in the UK capital today, there is a risk of rain as the early afternoon approaches.
"There's a reasonable chance of a few heavy showers around at that time, Billy Payne, a forecaster for MeteoGroup, revealed.
There is also a high chance that rain could fall on Kate as she steps from the limousine at 11am with her father just before she enters the Abbey for the wedding ceremony.
"The later you go into the morning the higher the risk is of showers breaking out. Because the sun is quite strong, the showers will be heavy in nature with risk of thunder, particularly during the early afternoon, the forecaster warned.
The royal pair are due to leave the abbey after the ceremony in an open-top 1902 State Landau, but if it does rain the newlyweds will travel in the Glass Coach. (C) Cover Media
