Ram Charan Teja, son of popular Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi, made it big in Tamil with Maaveeran (dubbed version of Telugu hit Magadheera). After a brief interval, the actor is back in Tamil with Ragalai. It is simultaneously being made in Telugu as Rachcha.

Being produced at over Rs 40 crore by R B Choudhary for Super Good Films, Rachcha features Tamannah opposite Ram Charan. Parthiban, Ajmal, Nasser, Geetha, Kota Srinivasa Rao are also in the cast. Music is by Mani Sharma and lyrics are penned by Viveka and Arivumathi.

The dialogues for the Tamil version are by ARP Jayaram. A debutant filmmaker Sampath wields the megaphone for the movie.

A major portion of the movie was shot in Malaysia, Bangkok, Switzerland and Goa, Pollachi and Kerala. A stunt sequence shot in a bamboo forest in China is the highlight, sources say.
