The couple looked stunning in their wedding outfits designed by Tarun Tahiliani. While Upasana wore a sheathed yellow and gold South Indian silk sari with a swarovski encrusted border done with zardosi French knots and a sprinkle of tiny soldered stoned, Ram wore a coordinated dhoti, paired with a fine chikan kurta and stole.

Ram and Upasana got married in traditional style at Temple Trees in Moinabad and the event was attended by over 4000 guests.

The high-profile guest list included Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Mohan Babu, Jr. N. T. R., Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, Rana Daggubati, Mani Ratnam and many more.

From the political world, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, K. Chandrashekhar Rao and others attended the celebration.

It was heard that Shah Rukh Khan was a special invitee as a surprise to Upasana as she is a great fan of the actor since his 'D. D. L. J.' days, but due to some work commitments he couldn't make it for the wedding.

Priyanka Chopra was the first to wish the lovely couple as she wrote on her micro blogging page, "Congratulations to my favourite Chiranjeevi sir!! Naach gaana full on in Hydrabad!!! Here's wishing a very happy married life to my Zanjeer co actor Ram Charan and his beautiful better half Upasana!wish I cud have been there!"
