The film ‘Rockstar’ has taken Ranbir Kapoor’s acting career to a new high and the lad is surely enjoying the renewed stardom. Ranbir recently won the ‘Best Actor’ title in a public poll that was carried out by a renowned media house. The Kapoor star has been voted as the best actor for his impeccable performance in his recently released film ‘Rockstar’ in which he played ‘Janardhan’ cum ‘Jordan’ and exemplified the troubled journey of a singer.

Ranbir Kapoor the suave actor, is known to choose his words wisely before speaking. One can say he is a man of few words. But after Rockstar"s success Ranbir who apparently is clearly overwhelmed with the success of his film, spoke quite candidly.

When he was asked to give his reaction on winning the public poll, he revealed that the team of the film worked really hard on every aspect and he is relieved to know that his acting was appreciated by the audiences. “I feel a sense of gratification and calmness. We worked so hard on the film, so it eases us to see that people have liked it” says a relieved Ranbir. He was quick to pass on the credit to director Imtiaz for guiding him throughout, “I attribute their compliments to Imtiaz Ali for being my mentor and for giving me an opportunity to showcase my talent".

He says that he is humbled by the fact that people loved him in ‘Rockstar’. He says "The role of "Janardhan/Jordan was close to my heart. I got so much into the skin of the character that it never felt like acting. I lived the experience of being a true "Rockstar".
