Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji was recently spotted at a renowned Ganesh Mandal in Mumbai, where she was spotted dedicating her time in worshiping the lord. Looking radiant and beautiful as ever, Rani revealed her fond memories of Ganesh Chaturthi.
"We used to earlier live in Janki Kutir, where we had the sarvajanik Ganpati in the colony, so as a kid, I would go every evening for the aarti. But it was only when my brother got married 14 years back that my bhabhi started the tradition of bringing Ganpati home. Past three years, I too started bringing Ganpati to my parents' home and we would keep it for five days. Yash uncle would come home during Ganpati and we would enjoy all the delicacies. We would decorate it like a pandal in the house and do hawan there," she said.
Rani also revealed that last year on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, her niece had urged her to get married. She feels that it is Lord Ganesha's blessings that she is experiencing a personal and professional high this year.
"Last year, my niece Myiesha told me, 'Pipi, why don't you get married in this mandal only.' Now that I am married, I will start bringing Ganpati home from next year. I am so happy with the appreciation my film has received. The first scene has a mouse that is a symbol of Ganpati and I feel that somewhere it is his blessings on me," she said.
As she is glowing like never before and has also put on weight, there were rumours that she is pregnant. Though the light eyed actress denied the reports, she did sound positive on the idea of beginning a family.
"Everybody spoke about my wedding before it actually happened. Now, they are speaking about me being pregnant, so hopefully that also will happen," smiles Rani.
