Ranveer Singh is one of the strongest actor in Bollywood now and his success ladder is growing high with each passing day. With many big films in his kitty, the actor is also a popular name in the advertising industry. He endorses many big brands right from the clothing and lifestyle to food. Recently he became the face of one of the most popular clothing brand, Jack & Jones.

Ranveer shot for an ad campaign for the brand and hoardings for the same made their way into the city. The advert shows Ranveer dressed in an officewear and carrying a woman on his shoulders while the butler watches by. The tagline reads, "Don't Hold Back. Take Your Work Home."

While some people took the ad in a light way, it didn't go well with some of the people. Some said that it showed the status of women at workplace in a bad taste and others claimed to withdraw the ad. Actor Siddharth too expressed his anger by tweeting, "A new low for women's rights in the workplace in India. What were they thinking? #Fail."

Vineet Gautam, who is the country head of Jack & Jones in India told a leading daily, "As a progressive brand that is loved by youth the world over, we take our responsibility of always being respectful, as seriously as we do our bold attitude. We regret that a billboard of our current campaign has caused people distress. We did not intend to offend anyone, and have discontinued it immediately."

While Ranveer Singh was quoted saying, "Jack and Jones ad wasn't malicious but wasn't going down well so got it taken down."
