Ranveer Singh is now getting involved in some humanitarian work. The actor has associated himself with a fundraising drive that aids mid-day meal programmes in schools.
He has also shot for an ad to create awareness about the initiative and to persuade people to donate750 per year towards the cause.
Ranveer expressed, "I had been waiting for something like this for a while now. Fortunately, I have been able to get a certain amount of popularity. This gives me an opportunity to give back to society in some way. I have joined hands with Akshay Patra, an NGO that organises mid-day meals for kids in more than 10,000 schools across the country. The best part about this campaign is that it is for kids. I love children, and ultimately they are our future."
Sharing eye-opening statistics, he reveals that about 2 million kids in India die before the age of 5 because of malnutrition.
Ranveer is currently busy with the periodic film of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's, 'Bajirao Mastani'.
