Recently Ranveer Singh featured in an advertisement of a popular clothing brand Jack & Jones and landed himself into a controversy. The advert featured Ranveer carrying a woman on his shoulders while a butler is watching. The tagline on the billboard reads "Don't hold back, take your work home."

According to some people the ad showed female employee in a bad taste while actor Siddharth said that it showed the harassment of women employees at workplace.

Everyone demanded an apology from the brand as well as Ranveer. Till date Ranveer did not open up about the controversy, but now he was quoted saying, "It was important to give the brand creative freedom while designing their campaign, but I guess we got it wrong on one of those billboards and I am sorry this happened, but it's a thing of the past...

We rectified it immediately by having that hoarding taken down from everywhere over 30 cities overnight. I treat all women with utmost respect, both professionally and personally, and would never do anything to disrespect them."
