(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ray Winstone considers himself one of the lucky ones because he loves his job so much.

The star is famed for playing hard-man characters, such as crime boss Gant in new movie London Boulevard. Ray is still amazed he has managed to have such a lengthy career, and always worried it might end prematurely.

The star cant understand actors who moan about being famous, as he thinks he is lucky to be doing something he enjoys.

I love to work. I grew up on the markets and my mum and dad were both grafters. Theres a lot of people who hate their job, he explained. Theyre the brave ones and Im the lucky one. Ive got the best job in the world.

Ray appears alongside his daughter Lois Winstone in Fathers of Girls, about a man who has to deal with the death of his daughter. As well as 28-year-old Lois, Ray is father to girls Jamie, 25, and nine-year-old Ellie. Fatherhood is the only thing Ray takes more seriously that his career, and hed do anything for his nearest and dearest.

He is very close to his kids, and admits he finds it hard to see them growing up.

They get to a certain age and you want them to leave home and get married but when they do go it leaves a massive hole, he told British newspaper The Daily Mail. Theres that fear of letting them out into the big wide world.
