The first trailer of filmmaker Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film 'Talvar' starring Irrfan Khan and Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead, is out but a weird thing about the trailer is that actress Tabu who also features in the film, is missing from the entire trailer.

What makes this thing weird is that Tabu was signed for the film by the director Meghna herself. "One wonders why her presence wasn't used to promote the film in the 2-minute 40-second trailer. It isn't as if she is the surprise element of the film." said an insider.

When the director of the film Meghna Gulzar was contacted, she had this to say "Tabu is not in the promo because it would be misleading to do so. The stories of the film and its casting that were doing the rounds were neither given by us nor were they corroborated by us. Since the film is in a sensitive space, we have spoken about the film only now, through its promo."

Commenting further on Tabu, the filmmaker said, "Let's just say she is the 'lucky charm'."
