(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reese Witherspoon says she is cautious when it comes to love and takes advice from her friends.

The American actress is engaged to Hollywood agent Jim Toth and is currently busy planning her wedding. Reese had a series of failed relationships before she began dating Jim and she admits it takes time for her to feel comfortable with a guy. She often turns to her closest confidantes for help with relationships and she greatly values their opinions because they have her best interests at heart.

"I am very cautious, that's why I listen to my friends, she said in an interview German television channel Tele 5. They know better than me if I'm happy. And they tell me straight away if a man is good for me or if I'm doing the right thing."

The 34-year-old star is happy to discuss her feelings and believes it is important for her fans to know she is just a normal person. Reese insists she goes through the same highs and lows as everyone else and she hopes talking about her life experiences will help others.

"I don't keep my life as a secret. If I'm feeling bad people should know, she explained. Maybe it helps them to see that even I have my ups and downs. I like to be honest."

Last year, Reese revealed she holds an ongoing dialogue with her friends about relationships. The group talk about their romances every day, and the star cant understand women who dont do the same. (C) Cover Media
