Chetan Bhagat's novels turning into films is no longer a wonder now. Films like '3 Idiots', 'Kai Po Che', 'Hello' and '2 States' are based on the novels written by him. His much talked novel 'Half Girlfriend' which garnered a lot of publicity by it's name will now be turned into a film. And the lead pair in the film will be Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor.

On June 8, 2016, author Chetan Bhagat revealed Arjun Kapoor's look from the film. He tweeted, "Hi Guys, Meet Madhav Jha. #HalfGirlfriend starts shoot today in Delhi. ATB @mohit11481 @arjunk26 @ShraddhaKapoor !"

Arjun will be playing the role of a basketball champ in the film, and this is what we can make out by taking a look at the picture. He is seen practicing basketball. As soon as the picture went viral it start trending and gathered positive views and comments.

Well the shooting of the film has been started and this was confirmed by the Chetan yet again. He posted a picture of the clapperboard along with a tweet saying, "Finally, the story comes to life. Big day as #HalfGirlfriend begins shoot! @mohit11481 @arjunk26 @ShraddhaKapoor."

This is not the first time Arjun is acting in an adaptation of a novel. Earlier he has acted in the film '2 States' which was the adaptation of Chetan's novel with the same name.
