October 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Tuesday Nights episode of NCIS: Los Angeles was comparatively less explosive and the creators tried to experiment something with the traditional NCIS format. Overall, the new structure of the show seemed to have worked its magic on the audience perfectly. Special Delivery started off with a murder at a popular Beverly Hills Mall and the situation quickly changed into a case where jewels got stolen from the Iraqi Museums. The murder victim was identified as Cpl. Thomas Porter, who had a top secret security clearance and was under investigation for stealing valuable Iraqi artifacts. At the crime scene, the victim was discovered with his hand severed off.
As the team started investigating the murder, they were led to the store of a jeweler, who was also found murdered with his hand cut off. Meanwhile Kensi and Derek found a bloody knife wrapped in ceremonial clothing at the Iraqi-jeweler's residence. The team discovers that Aziz (jeweler) follows the codes of the Sharia, which leads them to believe that Aziz was set up.
Later, the team found out that Marine Peterson, who served with Peter in Iraq was the culprit. It was evident that Peterson got jealous of Porters heist, so he killed Porter and framed Ashiri for the murder. When the team confronts Peterson he panics and starts a shootout and gets shot. The fast-paced action was missing from this episode but the layered sub-plots made the show worth watching.
