(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson's marriage is officially over.

Papers were filed by Ryan's attorney Laura Wasser at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday which revealed the two-year union had been dissolved. Neither party has requested spousal support. Since they did not sign a prenuptial agreement the pair have agreed to split the earnings made during the marriage equally.

Ryan, 34, filed for divorce in December last year, just days after they had announced their split. He cited irreconcilable differences in the legal documents.

Ryan and Scarlett began dating in 2007 and announced their engagement in May 2008. In September 2008, the Hollywood stars wed in an intimate ceremony in a wilderness retreat in Vancouver, Canada. They then set up home in a lavish $2.8 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

Rumours about the union began to emerge last year, with sources claiming they were leading separate lives. Ryan fuelled the speculation after revealing he felt the relationship had "changed".

"I'm a little more guarded, I think," he told GQ. "I'm a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera."

Following their split, 26-year-old Scarlett enjoyed a brief romance with actor Sean Penn, while Ryan has been romantically linked to his The Proposal co-star Sandra Bullock. (C) Cover Media
