RGV's film on 26/11 goes on floor

17th March 2012

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's most ambitious project, a film based on real life tragic incident of 26/11 Mumbai's terrorist attacks hit the floor on Friday, March 16th. The much-hyped film would be shot in four languages- Urdu, Hindi, English and Marathi.

"Today is the 1st day of shooting of the most important film of my career 'The attacks of 26/11'. That's because it is on the most important event that ever happened... If not in scale and damage and tragedy, just in sheer complexity it beats even 9/11," Varma wrote on his Twitter page.

The 'Rangeela' filmmaker has got on board theatre film actor Sanjeev Jaiswal to essay the role of Kasab. Sources close to the filmmaker admit that Varma spent about two months hunting for the right talent for this coveted role, as he wanted his upcoming reality based film to look authentic.

He has also roped in author Rommel Rodrigues to help him in his film's making as Rodrigues has penned down a book based on Kasab titled, 'The Face Of 26/11'.

RGV is leaving no stones unturned to make his forthcoming film look as real as the 'Sarkar Raj'. He is about to shoot on real locations and has even managed to get access to the boat 'Kuber', through which the terrorists entered the city.
