Known for her quirky nature and blunt statements, dusky beauty Richa Chadda who seldom talks to media, opened up about the recent issues which cropped up with her name.

The actress was recently spotted socialising with Shahid Kapoor at an award function. Their pictures from the event went viral as they became the latest victims to the gossip monger's link-up activities.

It was reported that the two were inseparable throughout the event and were dating already. When asked about the same, Richa refuted.

"What rubbish! I am not bothered about these link-up rumours. I know how it started with a single picture from an awards show party. But that's it. I never said anything in the first place, so why should I go about defending myself now?," counter questioned Richa who doesn't believe in entertaining media for answering any random rumour that comes up.

Often she has also been called arrogant as she doesn't socialise much and hardly goes to the famous tinsel town parties.

"I go out once in a while. I have less friends in Mumbai, but I do go out. As far as the Bollywood parties are concerned, I am not that involved. I went to Deepika's party, which she hosted in celebration of the great year she had. She texted me and I went. I don't think too much. I go when I want to go," she added.

Defying the popular myth which states that socialising gets you films, Richa claims that attending parties doesn't get you films. "Party mein jaane se kaam nahi milta hai waise. It's not like you'll go to a party and you'll get work. Anurag goes to almost every party while Dibakar doesn't go anywhere. Does it make a difference? Both of them continue to make good films," said Richa substantiating her point. 

With so many actresses blindly following the instructions and the herd mentality, Richa's head-strong attitude comes as a breath of fresh air.
