(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ricky Gervais was proud when Britains Prince Harry asked him for an autograph to give to Queen Elizabeth II.
The comedian is currently touring the UK with a series of live stand-up shows, and has revealed royal family member Prince Harry has been to one of his performances.
Harry is a fan of the risqu funnyman, who is best known as the creator and star of popular British sitcom The Office, which now has its own US version too.
Ricky was thrilled when the prince asked him to sign a beer mat as they celebrated together at an after-show party, and was shocked to discover it was for the his regal grandmother.
"He got me to sign a beer-mat for her, Ricky told British newspaper The Sun, before claiming he wrote an informal message for his royal fan. "To Liz II, Cheers! Ricky Gervais. I will be checking eBay all week in case she is making money off me."
The 26-year-old prince told Ricky his entire family are big fans of The Office and his stand-up, even teasing that the queen would be attending one of his London shows.
"On the day of the gig he wound me up by sending me a text saying he was bringing his gran, laughed the 49-year-old comic.
"I was obviously a bit panicked. She would definitely not have enjoyed the show," he added. (C) Cover Media
