(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ricky Gervais thinks he can notch it up and be even ruder to celebrities at this years Golden Globe Awards.

The British comedian fronted the prestigious awards show last year and delivered a number of risqu jokes.

Among his targets were actress Jennifer Aniston, heartthrob Colin Farrell and Sir Paul McCartney.

And Ricky has promised that he will match this level of fun-poking at the latest event, which will be staged on Sunday.

I don't think I went far enough," the 49-year-old told People magazine. "I think I can notch it up. That was me on sort of like two or three. I think I can notch it up to four or five."

Ricky was surprised that he was asked back to host the Globes again following his exploits in 2010. He is even more astonished that he agreed to return.

I didn't think I'd be asked again, and I didn't think I'd say yes if I was asked," Ricky added.

But he says that most celebrities he spoke with took his jibes with a pinch of salt. Colin was very easy-going over the episode, which saw Ricky suggest the Irishman loses his temper easily.

He whispered in my ear, and he came up and hugged me. He said, 'I f**king knew you'd say something like that, laughed Ricky.

"I worried about how Sir Paul McCartney would take it. But he came back afterwards and said, 'I loved it.' And I heard Jennifer Aniston liked it." (C) Cover Media
