(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Robbie Williams thought he was Steve McQueen while filming the promo for his celebrated song Angels.

The 36-year-old British singer has fond memories of the shoot, which took place in the south of England in 1997. The song also holds a special place in his heart, as it established him as a solo artist following his departure from Take That.

In the video, Williams is seen riding a motorbike across a field, a stunt firmly associated with the late celebrated actor McQueen.

I made it in Devon it was beautiful down there. I remember being in this circle and being confused by it, thinking, What does this mean? Why is this? And I remember that Vaughan Arnell, the director, was very, very, encouraging, Youre going to look cool as f**k, youre going to look like And I was like, Im going to look like Steve McQueen! And thats exactly what I was thinking when I was walking along the beach, F**k me! I look like Steven McQueen, he explained to the British edition of Glamour magazine.

Williams, who has agreed to join his former band members for an album and tour next year, went on to describe his memories of that day.
