Robert Downey Jr. feels "dirty" after starring in hit movies that "sucked".
The actor admits he has been in blockbuster films that were overrated. However, he believes his new movie Avengers Assemble has earned the right to do well.
"Avengers is going to do big business that's always been on the cards," he told BBC Newsbeat.
"I've been in big movies before that sucked and you kind of feel dirty when you see them over succeed for how good they weren't."
"I think Avengers actually deserves to succeed because it was a difficult endeavour and there was a lot of talent operating in it at 100 per cent and the story works."
Robert reprises his role as Iron Man in the superhero film which features an all-star cast including Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston and Gwyneth Paltrow. When asked if the actors had to take a pay cut to make way for more A-List stars, Robert joked, "I'm sorry what does a pay cut mean?"
The film is thought to have cost about 135 million to produce and is expected to thrive at the box office this weekend.
