(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Robert Pattinson admits he uses Twitter to escape his adoring female fans.

The British hunk has attracted legions of admirers across the world after landing the role of vampire Edward Cullen in the hit Twilight movie franchise. Robert still hasnt adjusted to being famous and has turned to the internet as a means of keeping a low profile. The micro blogging website is a useful way for Robert to keep a track of where his fans are and it allows him to make a quick getaway from public places.

The only time I ever follow Twitter is if Im in a restaurant or something, just before I leave, to see if people are waiting outside, he is quoted as saying.

Robert accepts he doesnt handle fame too well and does everything he can to avoid the limelight. The 24-year-old actor who is dating his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart says success has forced him to reassess many aspects of his life and he thinks very differently now.

It does make you a bit of a loser, especially when someone asks you, Hey, you want to go to dinner at this place? and Im like, Can we have dinner at this other place? It has three exits, he laughed.

Robert strives to life as normal a life as possible. He insists he hasnt changed despite being a Hollywood heartthrob and has regularly spoken out about his struggle with fame.

Apart from being recognised more, I still live the same life as I did. The only difference is that now people want to photograph me doing normal stuff, which I find surreal, he previously said. Being famous isnt the worst thing but there are times when you wish you could just walk down the street like you did five years ago. (C) Cover Media
