Director Rohit Shetty has added one more feather to his hat. A little birdie tells us that the director has agreed to make a special appearance in R.Balki's upcoming film, 'Shamitabh'.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush and will mark the Bollywood debut of Kamal Haasan's younger daughter, Akshara.
 
A source revealed it was just a day's shoot and Rohit gamely agreed for it. He will be seen playing himself in the film. In the past, Rohit was seen in Ekta Kapoor's comedy flick 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' in a cameo.

Confirming the news, Balki said, "We wanted a prominent director for the role and who better than Rohit Shetty. I am a big fan of all his movies."

But when asked, if Rohit will blow up cars in the movie? Balki said, "I'd like that but no, we aren't blowing up anything. But I can assure you that it will surprise people."

The film features an ensemble cast of directors, including Rajkumar Hirani, Anurag Basu, Gauri Shinde, Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film is scheduled to release in 2015.
