(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rose Byrne has praised her on-set buddy James McAvoy, saying they had great fun working together.

The actress plays Dr. Moira MacTaggert in superhero movie X-Men: First Class, which is currently shooting. James portrays Professor Charles Xavier, and the pair have formed a close friendship while working together.

They laugh and joke a lot and are also able to discuss more important things, such James son Andrew, who he and wife Anne-Marie Duff welcomed in the summer.

He is wonderful. We have some friends in common and hes my on-set buddy. Hes got a great sense of humour. And hes just had a baby so hes mad about his kid, Rose enthused.

The actress also has a lot of time for Russell Brand, who she appeared alongside in 2010 movie Get Him to the Greek. The British actor may be renowned for being smooth with women, but Rose insists he was nothing but gentlemanly with her.

His reputation precedes him but hes professional, hilarious and very smart, she told British magazine InStyle. Plus he was so kind and patient with me. (C) Cover Media
