Rosie Huntington-Whiteley comfortable with sexy' role

(Cover) - EN Movies - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has insisted she never felt "uncomfortable" while shooting Transformers: Dark of the Moon with director Michael Bay.

Rosie won her part in the movie franchise after Megan Fox decided she no longer wanted to be involved with it. The beauty had a public spat with Michael, and the series' other star Shia LaBeouf spoke about it last week.

He explained some people think Michael is a "lascivious filmmaker", adding Megan was never comfortable with her sex symbol status.

Rosie who plays Shia's character Sam Witwicky's love interest Carly Miller insists she never felt awkward while shooting the release.

"I think what Shia was saying was that Michael loves women, and I think he films women in a very sensual way," she told Access Hollywood.

"My character is much different than [Megan's] character she's very sophisticated. We had great fun. I never feel uncomfortable with Michael. And if I do, I make sure I tell him. He's always respects it."

Rosie is best known as a model, having worked for luxury lingerie firm Victoria's Secret. She's pleased to be moving into movies and can't wait to see what fans make of the latest Transformers instalment.

"I am ready. It's been a long year waiting for it to happen," she said. "We shot for seven months. It was a big roller coaster, so I'm ready to bite the bullet and see what happens when it comes out. I'm really excited."

During Shia's interview, he hinted Michael and Megan hadn't always got on well on set. He explained she found his style of directing difficult to fathom, particularly as she wasn't keen to be seen as just a pretty face.

"Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It's summer. It's Michael's style. And I think [Fox] never got comfortable with it. This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America," he explained. "And she had a hard time accepting it. When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We're on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact. There's no time for, I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.'" (C) Cover Media
