Royal couple enjoy cinema trip

18th July 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken a trip to their local cinema to see R-rated comedy Bridesmaids.

Bucking tradition, the newlyweds were like any other couple on Saturday night by going to see the comedy movie that has broken box office records.

The couple, who recently returned from their successful 11-day tour of Canada and the US, are reportedly wanting to stay "under the radar" at their home in Wales for the rest of the year, but seemingly want to do normal things like going for a date night at the movies.

However, Britain's Prince William and his beautiful wife Catherine caused a Twitter frenzy when they were seen at the multiplex theatre at Llandudno Junction, with onlookers amazed that they were there.

"My friend from Uni has just seen Prince William and Kate Middleton in my local cinema (sic)," one person tweeted.

Cineworld confirmed by Twitter that the pair did go to see the movie.

"Prince William and Kate Middy saw Bridesmaids at Cineworld Llandudno this W'end. Wonder what they made of Kristen Wiigs one eyed' impression? (sic)" they posted.

A palace spokesman said last week that the couple "have the rest of their lives to be public figures and work hard on behalf of the Queen" but wanted to "enjoy their marriage".

Bridesmaids is now the number one grossing female-oriented R-rated comedy of all time. It stars Maya Rudolph who plays a bridezilla who gets Kristen Wiig on board as her maid of honour in the wedding-themed comedy. (C) Cover Media
