Chief Coroner Ed Winter has confirmed that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was not under the influence when he committed suicide.
Russell was found dead at a friend's home by his estranged wife Taylor Armstrong and an unidentified man.
Television network Bravo premiered season two of the reality show on Monday despite concerns by Russell's family about how he would be portrayed on the show.
The 47-year-old financier was going through marriage troubles with Taylor which was captured by cameras and he was also said to be devastated by the dire financial situation he was in.
"I don't think she [Taylor] was aware of the financial mess they were in," cast mate Lisa Vanderpump shared at the beginning of the episode. "She needs our support more than ever."
Bravo will apparently still show footage of Taylor and Russell's meeting with their therapist, RadarOnline are reporting.
"Bravo has made the decision to air their marriage counselling sessions," an insider said. "Taylor is supportive of the network airing the therapy sessions."
"They will be looking at those sessions and doing any necessary edits if needed given Russell's suicide."
Russell left behind his five-year-old daughter Kennedy he had with Taylor and his two sons from previous relationships. (C) Cover Media
