Ryan Murphy wants Paltrow for musical

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ryan Murphy is eager to make a musical with "great friend" Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Glee producer and Gwyneth have worked together before with much success. Gwyneth won a 2011 Primetime Emmy Award for Best Guest Actress for her appearance on Glee. Ryan is eager to be reunited with Gwyneth on the silver screen.

"We want to do a musical together," Ryan E! Online at the Emmy Awards Sunday. "An original - I want to write an original movie for Gwyneth and Maya Rudolph, both of whom I'm great friends with."

Ryan has a few ideas for the script already.

He is greatly inspired by Gwyneth's performance in Country Strong. In the 2010 movie she played a troubled alcoholic country music singer.

"I loved Country Strong," Ryan revealed. "I love it when she's drunk and on the floor spitting up pills."

Before Ryan can begin filming with Gwyneth, he has to focus on his upcoming movie The Normal Heart.

The film is based on a semi-autobiographical play set at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. Ryan is intent on making a big impact on audiences with this movie.

Brad Pitt's production company Plan B will co-produce The Normal Heart with Ryan. Shooting dates for the feature have not yet been released. (C) Cover Media
