(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ryan Phillippe says he is ready to give up acting and turn his back on the trappings of fame.

The actor revealed that he is thinking about moving from Los Angeles to New York to get away from the Hollywood paparazzi and lead a quieter life, possibly behind the camera.

Ryan, who stars as a war photographer in new movie The Bang Bang Club, said he has already been looking at properties in the trendy Soho area in New York.

"It's so hard to go out in LA. I'm going to move," he told American publication The New York Post. "I'm going to spend a third of my year in New York."

The 36-year-old, who has two children with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon and is currently dating actress Amanda Seyfried, also complained that he is tired of the speculation about his love life.

Ryan said he feels ready to give up acting if it means he can lead a quieter life away from the media glare.

"I think I'm going to end my acting career. I'm so introverted. I'm ready to be behind the scenes. I'm 36, but I've been doing this for 20 years," he said. "I'm a good guy. I'm not that guy you read about." (C) Cover Media
