Lakshmi Rai will be the heroine of S J Suryah's comeback film Isai. Besides playing the lead role and wielding the megaphone, the actor-director will also make his debut as a music composer with this movie.

According to sources, Suryah was impressed with Lakshmi Rai's performance and looks in recent blockbuster movies such as Ajith's 50th film Mankatha and Raghavendra Lawrence's comedy thriller Muni.

Following this, Suryah approached Lakshmi Rai and narrated the story of Isai. The actress was immediately bagged the offer, since she had a meaty role to play in it, sources say, adding: The shooting will kick off soon.

In the meantime, Lakshmi Rai is also busy in Bollywood and Tollywood. While shooting for her Hindi film is expected to start later this month, her Telugu film Aadhinayakudu with top star Balakrishna is taking shape fast.
