Director Kicha (of Thee and Bhavani IPS fame) and P V Prasadh (of Kadhalil Vizhundhen fame) were arrested on Friday by the officials of the Central Crime Branch, on charges of cheating a man of Rs 67 lakh.

According to the complainant, Tamil Kumaran of Teynampet, Kicha and Prasadh promised distribution rights for the upcoming film Eppadi Manasukul Vandhaai, which features Tamil Kumaran's son Vishwa in the lead role.

"Trusting them, I gave Rs 62 lakh in cash and a car. But Kicha and Prasadh had failed to honour the promise and sold the distribution rights of the film to Crust Realtors Private Ltd," Tamil Kumaran said in his complaint.

Following this, CCB officials who registered a case and arrested the duo. A case has been registered under IPC section 420, 109 and 506 (i).
