Love and War

Poor, under-educated young man going after a rich, well-educated and independent girl is what SMS (Siva Manasulo Sruthi), a remake version of Tamil hit Siva Manasula Sakthi, is all about.

Directed by Thathineni Sathya, the film is full of romance laced with lots of comedy, with priority to screenplay. A Valentines' Day special, the movie could go well with lovers, who really have some time to spend in a cinema hall.

Siva (Sudhir Babu) meets Sruthi (Regina) during a train journey. Siva informs Sruthi that he is an army officer while Sruthi says she is an air hostess. Soon the truth is revealed. Sruthi is a radio jockey while Siva is a courier boy.

Though they are as different as chalk and cheese, some sparks fly between them. When Sruthi's father finds a techie for her to marry, Sruthi realises she is love in with Siva. What's next is the climax.

Sudhir as a prankster, fits well to the role so Mahesh Babu's brother in law did make a decent debut and sure has a good future. Rezina is beautiful and emotes well too. There is a huge star cast to add strength to the movie that does a decent job.

Selvaganesh's music is peppy, while the cinematography is tacky. Director Sathya could have presented a better film, had he concentrated more in the script.

Overall, the film will definitely cash on the Valentine's season. Its light hearted with the right amount of humour injected, definitely a one time watch.
