It now appears as if the release of films like Karthi-starrer "Saguni" and Dhanush's "3" may be put off.

According to sources, the delay may be because of the new rules that the Producers Council has brought in. As per the new rule, all films that has leading stars in the industry should release only on the five festive days -- Pongal, Tamil New Year’s Day, May Day, Independence Day, and Deepavali.

It is being said in an effort to follow the norm, it has been decided to postpone "Saguni" and "3" to 13th April.  "Saguni" is directed by newcomer Shankar Dayal and "3" has been directed by debutant filmmaker and Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. It may be mentioned here that both the films were slated for release in February.
