Salman Khan, who was appointed as the IOA Goodwill ambassador of the Indian contingent for Rio Olympics 2016 has now announced to present a sum of Rs. 1,01,000 to each athlete. There are a total of 118 athletes who are taking part in the Rio Olympics and representing our country.

Salman made the announcement on his twitter handle by tweeting, "As a gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes, I will present each one with a cheque of Rs1,01,000." He also said that every citizen should contribute towards promoting sports. He tweeted, "The government is very supportive of sports . Each of us can also do our bit to encourage a sports nation."

Earlier when Salman was appointed as the Goodwill ambassador, he received criticisms from almost every sector. But this 'Being Human' nature of the actor should not go unnoticed.
