Salman Khan Black Buck case : SC stays the conviction

14th January 2015

Salman Khan won't be able to travel abroad for any of his personal or professional commitments. SC has nullified the Rajasthan HC order that had stayed his conviction in the black buck case.

Supreme Court has asked the HC to reassess the actor's plea. The actor had shot two Chinkara deers and a black buck during the shooting of 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' in Rajasthan. The actor, who is currently on bail, has been sentenced 5 years of jail for it.

A state govt. lawyer, Varun Punia said, "We filed SLB challenging stay of conviction granted by HC, that has been set aside by SC today." As the actor was convicted for 5 years, British Embassy had denied his visa in the past.
