Salman Khan challenged by Rajasthan court in Arms Act case

8th March 2017

Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is accused of killing Chinkaras during his film's shoot and acquittal of unlicensed arms, is now challenged by the Rajasthan court in Jodhpur. District and Sessions Judge Bhagwan Das Agarwal has issued a notice to Salman and his reply is expected by April 21.

As per the court, the prosecution failed to prove that the actor possessed weapons on the night of the killing. The actor was found guilty for possessing a rifle whose license was expired to conduct the killing of the Chinkaras.

A leading daily quoted the reason of delaying the case for 18 years as, "There was one witness Choga Ram, but he had an accident and is not mentally sound and the other witness Prahlad died during the trial, so delaying the case certainly affected it."

Meanwhile, in the recent past Salman's co-actors from the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hai', Neelam, Saif Ali Khan and Tabu were presented in the court to record their statements regarding the case.
