Salman Khan hit-and-run case: Blamed doctors for carelessness

28th January 2015

Salman Khan's hit-and-run case has reached one more turning point. At the last cross examination session of the doctor, he revealed that though he prepared case papers only indicating 'bad breath', emergency Police Register prepared it stating 'breath smelled of alcohol'.

During the recent cross examination session, the doctor told that he had not followed the norms of the civil medical code. He said that neither he had read the manual before starting the procedure of the testing the actor's blood samples nor was the manual available in the CMO's office.

When Khan's lawyer, Shrikant Shiwade asked if the room in which the procedure took place was sterilize, the doctor answered in the negative, thus the defence lawyer claimed that this can cause the body fluid to ferment and show an increase of alcohol level in the blood.

The next cross examination will take place on January 31, 2015.
