Salman Khan has been famous for his parties which often stir controversies. Every year he celebrates his birthday party with his close family and friends but this year he was trying to make an exception. Salman Khan who is expected to throw in a New Year’s bash this year at Dubai was also planning to celebrate his birthday there.

However due to his family’s insistence he is hopping back to Mumbai just for his birthday that falls on 27th December. Due to his major foreign shooting schedules and ill health he has been spending quite lot of time away from home. Hence his family urged him to fly down to Mumbai and celebrate his special day with them.

Sources close to the actor also reveal that Salman changed his plans at the last minute citing health problems, as the  actor who underwent surgery in the US for trigeminal neuralgia (a nerve disorder) earlier this year.

Nonetheless that doesn’t mean that he will cancel his New Year bash in Dubai. He will again fly back to Dubai as he plans to throw in a lavish bash for his friends.

His films "Bodyguard" and "Ready", however, both grossed over Rs 100 crore this year, making him the most successful actor this year.
