Salman Khan will star in the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster film Kanchana…
The king of the masses a.k.a super star Salman Khan seems to be bowled over by the south films and their scripts. No wonder the actor has been looking out for more and more scripts down south.
First it was the remake of Malayalam film ‘Bodyguard’ which turned out to be a blockbuster hit followed by the announcement by Salman’s younger sister Arpita to remake the Telugu film ‘Dookudu’ starring Salman Khan and now the latest buzz is that Salman is all set to star in yet another south super hit ‘Kanchana’.
Apparently Salman was extremely excited to do the film and wanted brother Sohail Khan to direct the movie. However, the original Tamil film’s director Lawrence Raghavendra is very keen on directing the Hindi Version too. Now, reportedly the producer Sahara One Motion Pictures will take a call on who will direct the Hindi version of the film.
According Vikram Singh, advisor project development of Sahara One Motion Pictures, “Kanchana was made in Tamil and dubbed in Telugu. Sohail bhai liked it and I showed the film to Arbaaz bhai. Lawrence sir, the director of the film, asked me to accompany him during the screening, as I’m working with him on his next film.
We are keen to have Salman bhai play the lead role. I myself saw Kanchana thrice, but nothing has been finalised yet. I would love if Sahara produces it and Salman bhai acts in it. We are constantly in touch with Arbaaz bhai and Lawrence sir and so, we will take a decision very soon.”
Well, with yet another south film ‘Kanchana’ being remade in Bollywood with Salman in the lead, it seems like Salman has definitely got a sure success mantra for his films.
