Salman Khan, who has launched many people in the industry, had taken Zarine Khan under his wings with his film 'Veer' though the film tanked at box-office, Zarine continued to be nurtured in Salman's shrine.

It is believed that it was Salman's influence on his industry friends that landed Zarine in 'Housefull 2' and the famous foot-tapping track 'Character Dheela' in Salman's film 'Ready'. Salman feels that the song 'Charcter Dheela' actually showcases the real side of Zarine, who is as beautiful, as sexy and as desirable as any other Bollywood actress. He feels that with 'Veer', everyone in the industry stereotyped her in those of roles but Salman wanted the world to see the modern girl in Zarine. According to him the track in 'Ready' does exactly that.

He also sounded disappointed that the media and world are continuously comparing Zarine to Katrina Kaif. Salman said that the term 'Fatina' given to Zarine because of her weight in her debut film and her striking resemblance to Katrina was unfair and now that she has lost oodles of weight the praises are bound to pour in. We are sure that Zarine is flattered by these genuine comments coming from Salman.
