Sasikumar, after a small break post ‘Easan’, is back on track with renewed vim and vigour in ‘Poraali’. Besides producing, he also plays the lead role in this film directed by his good friend Samuthirakani.
“‘Poraali’ is about the struggle of four individuals. Each and every one of us face struggle in our day to day life. This is the crux of ‘Poraali’. The movie, besides providing entertainment, will also make the audience think,” he says.
A man of confidence, Sasikumar started his journey with ‘Subramanyapuram’. Since then there is no looking back for this actor-director-producer, with the only roadblock being the not-so-good performance of ‘Easan’ in the box-office.
This has not dampened his spirits though. “I wanted to show the darker side of the city in ‘Easan’ to create an awareness among the people. I guess I have won on that front. The satisfaction that I had made a meaningful movie, is enough for me,” he says.
