Scarlett Johansson would rather be "skilled" than have a superpower.
The actress portrays Natasha Romanoff/ Black Widow in Avengers Assemble. Her character is an arch spy and is a mean fighter, but she doesn't have a specific power. It's the same for Jeremy Renner, who portrays Hawkeye in the release.
Neither of them are bitter about their lack of sub-human strength or ability to fly though.
"We don't want any superpowers we've decided. We would rather be skilled because your superpowers can maybe disappear," Scarlett told Cover Media.
Avengers Assemble also stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
Jeremy insists that without their powers, those characters would be nothing special.
"Yeah! If Thor lost his hammer? He'd still kick my ass probably but I'd have a fighting chance," he laughed.
As their characters' special skills are fighting, Scarlett and Jeremy spent a lot of time in training. They didn't mind though as it was so much fun.
"I think me and Renner and Tom [Hiddleston, who plays Loki] probably spent the most amount of time in the stunt gym just because we have these huge choreographed sequences that are just intense and I'm happy to do that," Scarlett said. "We have such an amazing stunt team and a lot of them came off Iron Man 2 and we spent so much time in the stunt gym that we kind of felt like a family with those guys. It's great fun to do it. We all as characters and actors have our burden to bear but certainly the stunts paid off in the end."
Avengers Assemble is out in the UK on April 26.
