Seann William Scott is glad his fiance hasn't watched The American pie series, because he "probably wouldn't be engaged".

The 35-year-old comedy actor asked his Victoria's Secret model girlfriend Lindsay Frimodt to marry him last month.

At the premiere of upcoming American Reunion - the fourth instalment in the popular franchise in Los Angeles last night Seann relieved that his gorgeous girl has refrained from watching the crude series.

"She hadn't seen American Pie. Thank god. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't be engaged," he quipped.

The actor is foul-mouthed womaniser Steve Stifler in the franchise, which is famed for its sexy scenes.

Seann still can't believe Lindsay accepted his proposal.

He admitted to E! News "[I don't] know how I got her. I'm just really lucky."

According to Life & Style magazine, Seann asked Lindsay to marry him on Valentine's Day.

He has previously maintained he has no interest in chasing the opposite sex as he is committed to Lindsay.

"I have a girl in my life, so I think she'd be really p**sed," he told Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph. "But I was never really able to take advantage of being an actor, because I was always too shy to talk to girls."
