2nd February 2011
Subramaniam Siva, who made his debut directorial with 'Thiruda Thirudi' failed to win laurels for his next movie 'Yogi', which was a remake of South African movie 'Tsotsi'. Nearly after a year, the filmmaker started working on 'Seedan', a remake of Malayalam movie 'Nandanam' that featuring Prithviraj and Navya Nair in lead roles. The film is now ready for release on February 11 and it's gonna be a surprising movie for Dhanush fans.
Yeah! The actor will play an extended cameo version appearing from the intermission point and throughout the second half. 'Seedan' features newcomer Krishna, 'Nadodigal' fame Anuya in lead roles while, Suhasini Meera Krishnan , Vivek, Sheela, Ponvannan and Ilavarasu are enacting important characters.
Initially, Renjith maker of original version 'Nandanam' was supposed to remake the film in Tamil, but couldn't take up due to some problems with language barriers. Subramaniam Siva mentions that he has made whole lot of changes from original version so as to cater to the tastes of Tamil audiences.
