Selena Gomez enjoyed being rebellious in her movie as it was a "different type of role for her."
The 19-year-old multitalented star takes on a leading role in upcoming comedy drama Spring Breakers.
Selena is currently filming the project and is really getting out of her comfort zone to play her unruly character.
"It was a very different type of role for me," she explained to Women's Wear Daily. "I play a religious girl named Faith. Her best friends aren't the best influences, and they want to go to spring break but can't afford it. So they rob a convenience store and get away with it and go on spring break."
"We end up getting busted by the cops and going to jail, and James Franco's character, a rapper-drug dealer, bails us out."
The singer-and-actress' creative versatility is palpable and Selena is always looking to expand her artistic expression.
She is excited to be debuting her new perfume.
"I knew I wanted a tall bottle because I feel like it can kind of stand up with all the other fragrances," Selena shared.
"Each [new scent in the future] will represent me as I am at that time. It's kind of me winging it. I definitely like to wing things."
Selena's fragrance will be available in Macy's department stores across the US beginning in May.
Spring Breakers will be released in 2013.
