(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Selena Gomez is "terrified" now that her hit show Wizards of Waverly Place has ended.
The 18-year-old star first starred in the Emmy award winning Disney show in 2007. However, Selena finished her work on the series last month, and admits she is feeling the pressure as she tries to capitalise on its success.
"I'm confident in saying I'm terrified! There's a lot of pressure to move onto other stuff and succeed, that's for sure," she told Bliss. "This is something I've done for the past four-and-a-half years of my life and I don't think I'm ready to leave. It's going to be sad, but it's like, you can't stay in high school for ever."
Selena is attached to the movie adaptation of the novel Thirteen Reasons Why and filmed a cameo in the new Muppets movie. She also stars alongside Leighton Meester, Cory Monteith and Katie Cassidy in the forthcoming Monte Carlo. Selena admitted to having nerves not just meeting her new co-stars but other actresses as well.
"I met Reese Witherspoon at the Vanity Fair Oscar party earlier this year and almost had a heart attack," Selena revealed. "She was so beautiful! And when I began working on Monte Carlo I was so nervous because Leighton Meester and Cory Monteith are both older and much more experienced than I am, so I kind of felt as if they might not want to hang out with me. But I couldn't have been more lucky. They were the best cast and so incredibly sweet and supportive." (C) Cover Media
